Graphic Designer 2

Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer 2 is to create digital assets for multimedia and graphics projects, including websites, product graphics, web logos, mobile apps, advertising, animation, email campaigns, social media, and interactive displays. The Graphic Designer 2 will work exclusively on digital projects and some design print collateral. The Graphic Designer 2 should be comfortable using computer software and applications to create digital designs and may have front-end development skills to convert data to a graphical interface, such as through HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

In this Role:

• Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD and After Effects, InVision, etc.
• Working knowledge of CSS and HTML, expertise with responsive web design software like Adobe Dreamweaver.
• Demonstrated understanding of visual design principles.
• Proven digital content skills.
• Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences.
• Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities.
• Proven experience and ability working independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Photo and video editing expertise.
• Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques.
• Experience with user-centered design, rapid prototyping, and user testing.
• Strong attention to detail including accurate grammar and spelling.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, innovative, flexible, task-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
• Quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Create digital assets (static, video, and HTML) for a range of platforms (social, display advertising, websites, mobile apps, etc.).
• Test assets and optimize based on their performance.
• Create website assets from hero design to web animations.
• Create email designs for CRM programs and coordinate the creation of email templates in HTML.
• Design and develop homepages, landing pages, and email concepts.
• Create and execute concepts for digital and print advertising.
• Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation.
• Stay current on industry trends and the lasted digital design software.
• Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “4 Diamond Service Standards.”
• Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all Guest opportunities.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management.
• Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
• All other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field required. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
• Two (2) years of design experience in a marketing department or advertising agency.
• Work experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
• Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
• Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically in an office environment or out on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
