Assist 1st Pressperson and General Worker with quality of printed sheet. Reduce the production of unnecessary overrun and creation of partial skids.

- Logs in/out and entering job codes into Vision.
- Review Job Bag and Vision for changes, special instructions, and any other pertinent information.
- Hanging plates with assistance as needed relative to plate size.
- Evaluate and adjust fit (internal register) and frontlay (square).
- Monitor for bounce and side guide variation.
- Coordinating bar code quality assurance checks.
- Set up and use of color measurement equipment (Secondary Responsibility).
- Work with Pressroom Management, ServiceNet, Account Executives and customers as needed during Customer Ok's (Secondary Responsibility).
- Record Feeder waster throughout run. Upon completion of run, forward counts to first. Pressman.
- Pull quality control sheets at defined intervals and perform all relative QC checks.
- Verify that an adequate # of good sheets have been run to satisfy the order quantity (Secondary Responsibility).
- Obtain and prepare substrates including the notification of stock shortage.
Effectively communicate with the first. Pressman to reduce the production of unnecessary overrun and creation partial loads/rolls. - Ensure partial loads/rolls of blank stock get returned to inventory properly.
- Minor plate repair.
- Accurate recording of all production/time/machine data via vision.
- Lead the activities of press wash up ensuring they are done correctly and completely to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Perform the activities of unit roller maintenance.
- Coordinate/verify the weekend and/or last shutoff of press is performed correctly (Secondary responsibility).
- Knowledge and understanding of all press systems including blanket washers, dryers, and chill rollers. This includes correct settings as well as proper procedures for startup/shut down.
- Knowledge and understanding of all feeder/sheeter parts and adjustment that apply to daily operation. Including general set up, side guide, double sheet detector, timing systems, wheels, air etc.
- Maintain ink level during production as needed.
- Ability to perform 1st Pressman and General Worker functions when needed.
- Perform all duties associated with TPM daily tasks list associated with press.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years as a Feeder or equivalent
- Communication (written/verbal), Problem Solving, Team Player, Detail Oriented
