The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking a Digital Print Technician to assist in the Business Services Division, under the Office of the Controller.

Under general supervision, the Digital Print Technician utilizes print preparation and high-end digital publishing software to prepare files for digital use or print production; operates networked, high-speed digital press equipment and related bindery equipment to produce materials as requested by clients.

The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following

Knowledge:
  • Computer print preparation, graphic design programs and publishing software for use in digital printing and electronic documents such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • General office practices, procedures, and equipment
  • Print shop practices, procedures, equipment and terminology
  • Print shop operations maintenance of high-speed electronic duplicating equipment
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Required Education and Experience Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Experience: One year of experience preparing and producing digital print work using industry standard production equipment and graphic design software in a high-speed digital print environment.

Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.

Selection Process Candidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a multiple-choice exam and a structured interview.
